Working is not just earning but it is about learning. As a news anchor and writer, challenging experience is always part. Speaking with thousands of people listening not only nationwide but also via live streaming on internet becomes a motivation for me to work best with confident particularly in delivering the news every day. I accept that mistake is part of a meaningful success and failure is a good learning experience to become better from falling.
I’m busy in coping up with the vision, mission and goals of Bombo Radyo Philippines that is to bring and deliver fresh news on air bounded with an ultimate principle, the drive of getting the news fast, first and right. The news delivered should only happen within twenty-four hours otherwise it’s not currently updated. This could be done by a complete monitoring from internet, radio, television, newspaper and other news resources.
All in all, the routine still the same everyday but the news only makes it different. The only thing I could do is to make it interesting. I know that voice is the most important tool in a radio. I should be reminded that this is not a simple conversation. This is a good avenue for me to make people admire, not only with my voice but also with how I deliver the news confidently.
As I said, working inside Bombo Radyo Philippines becomes a good opportunity for me to fulfill my dream to be in the field of broadcasting. Since I was young, I admire those broadcasters who are connected in both television and radio network, trying to insinuate their opinions and comments regarding different hot issues from public and private sector. They are trying to air out their stand in spite of some menace they’ve heard. They go over people’s interest rather than personal interest.
Indeed, this job made me realize how worthy to become part in a media network serving fairly, unbiased and committed to public service. As I act to be an instrument of love, equality, peace and justice for all Filipinos listening worldwide with a promise to let them know the truth and be oriented behind the news and public issues.
Working in this challenging field becomes a good experience to say that I am here to find a way for freedom and peace as well as justice for all to make this world a better place. For I am a voiceless instrument who ventilated the truth with candor and politeness as well as talking with no acts of arrogance believing the truth will set us free.
I am here to dedicate myself, my fortune and my life. I am here to stand no matter what it takes and no matter what it sacrifices. I am here to let them know what’s new because I am committed to care, to listen and to hear with their cries and whispers as a proud news anchor, reporter and news writer.
